Description

The Dodital Trek is a popular Himalayan trek in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand, known for its scenic beauty and spiritual significance. It’s an easy to moderate trek, leading to the Dodital Lake, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ganesha. The trek offers a variety of landscapes, including forests, meadows, and mountain streams, and can be extended to include Darwa Top for even more challenging views.

Itinerary

Day 1: Dehradun to Agoda Village: Drive from Dehradun to Agoda Village (approx. 160 km, 6-8 hours).
Day 2: Agoda to Manjhi: Trek from Agoda to Manjhi (approx. 8 km, 5-6 hours).
Day 3: Manjhi to Dodital Lake: Trek from Manjhi to Dodital Lake (approx. 7 km, 3-4 hours). Explore the lake and temple.
Day 4: Dodital to Darwa Top and Back: Hike to Darwa Pass (3780 m) and Darwa Top (~4100 m) for views, then return to Dodital camp (approx. 10 km, 8-10 hours).
Day 5: Dodital to Agoda: Trek back to Agoda via Manjhi and Bhewra (approx. 15 km, 6-7 hours).
Day 6: Agoda to Dehradun: Drive back to Dehradun (approx. 160 km, 7-8 hours
